Geoweather

There are few definitive studies that help to define how environmental circumstances affect psi phenomena.  S. James P. Spottiswoode has several good articles at www.jsasoc.com/library.html that describe his (and other researchers) analysis of the way geomagnetic activity and sidereal time influence success in psychic ability experiments.  From these, and from reports by hauntings investigation groups, we have identified several influences:

  • Psychic ability appears to increases some 400% from the average around 13.5h Local Sidereal Time (LST).  It is below average some 200% around 19.0h LST.
  • While anecdotal evidence indicates that psi phenomena is greater when geomagnetic activity is lower, laboratory experiments indicate a slightly greater performance in psychic ability test in a "noisy" geomagnetic environment.
  • Some experimenters argues that hauntings activity appears to be greater when magnetic and solar activity is greater.
  • Earth's geomagnetic activity is greatest on or around the new and full moons, resulting in higher "spirit" activity.

It is clear that much more must be learned about these influences.  One of the ways to find out more, is for individuals to keep a record of environmental conditions, what we call "geoweather" and to report any possible conclusions to the DPE.  To that end, we have included links and information concerning the moon phase, geo and solar activity and sidereal time.

Many researchers feel that atmospheric and planetary conditions have an influence on nonphysical phenomena.  For instance changes in geomagnetic activity, solar activity and weather may influence the frequency and quality of hauntings.  These conditions are also thought to influence mediumship, and if so, they logically influence EVP/ITC.

This information originates with  NOAA Space Environment Center.

Solar activity information originates from the GOES 8 and GOES 10 satellites and indicates solar X-ray activity near the earth.

Status
Normal: Solar X-ray flux is quiet (< 1.00e-6 W/m^2)
Status
Active: Solar X-ray flux is active (>= 1.00e-6 W/m^2)
Status
M Class Flare: An M Class flare has occurred (X-ray flux >= 1.00e-5 W/m^2)
Status
X Class Flare: An X Class flare has occurred (X-ray flux >= 1.00e-4 W/m^2)
Status
Mega Flare: An unprecedented X-ray event has occurred (X-ray flux >= 1.00e-3 W/m^2)

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

For Geomagnetic Field status, the previous 24 hours of 3 hour Planetary Kp Index data is analyzed and an appropriate level of activity for the past 24 hours is assigned.

Status
Quiet: the Geomagnetic Field is quiet (Kp < 4)
Status
Active: the Geomagnetic Field has been unsettled (Kp=4)
Status
Storm: A Geomagnetic Storm has occurred (Kp>4)

A Sidereal Time wristwatch should be available in 2006. We will post information here when we know how to acquire one.
